How to Spend Three Incredible Days in Bermuda
A two-hour flight from New York City is just long enough to grab a cat nap and land rested and ready to explore Bermuda. The perfect three-day getaway filled with pink sand beaches, crystal cave explorations, snorkeling, cricket tournaments, tropical cocktails, and delicious food under the stars is closer than you think. According to U.S. News, Bermuda was ranked one of the best summer vacation spots in the world for 2024. Here are some can’t miss things to do!
Rosedon Hotel
The Rosedon Hotel Bermuda is a paradise located in the heart of Hamilton, Bermuda. It is steeped in history and blends modern comforts with traditional island hospitality. The rooms are impeccably appointed and have all the modern comforts and conveniences you need.
Each room has its own balcony with cozy furniture, so you can enjoy a glass of wine while overlooking the stunning pool and lush vegetation.
Huckleberry
This award-winning restaurant is located in the historic main house of the Rosedon Hotel, with tables right out on a gorgeous, breezy patio. Huckleberry Restaurant is named after Mark Twain, who famously loved to visit Bermuda. The menu takes inspiration from his southern background while staying true to its Bermudian roots.
From fresh-caught seafood to tender grilled meats, there is something for every palate. The main dishes are complemented by fruits and vegetables grown in the gardens and fresh honey from the hives.
Swizzle Inn
The Swizzle Inn is home to Bermuda’s oldest pub and the island’s national drink, the Rum Swizzle. It has been around since the early 1900s and is made from rum, orange, pineapple, and lemon juices, plus fruit liqueurs.
The Swizzle Inn is a rustic, comfortable place with simple and delicious food, festive drinks, and a wonderful staff. It’s the perfect place to catch a game, meet up with friends to hear live entertainment, or enjoy a quiz night. It is loved by locals and tourists alike.
Village Pantry
Located in Flatt’s Village, Village Pantry was voted Bermuda’s Best 2020 Place for Veggie Lovers, and for good reason. This cute bright, airy spot with indoor or outdoor dining is a can’t miss stop, and the staff is amazing.
I love the Wholesome Bowl, which was loaded with kale, quinoa, parsnips, edamame, pickled beets, and chickpeas, with a homemade mango dressing on top. It is perfect for casual brunches or elegant dinners with generous cuts of grass-fed beef or fresh veggie-loaded dishes.
Glass Bottom and Snorkel Excursion
If you are more adventurous, head out on the Glass Bottom and Snorkel Excursion to explore Bermuda’s vibrant marine ecosystem. The tour guides are entertaining, and you will learn a lot about what makes Bermuda special.
After looking at marine life and coral reefs in the glass bottom boat, head to a hidden cove for snorkeling and paddleboarding. Here you’ll find all types of colorful fish, like blue parrotfish, along with beautiful corals and sea fans.
Crystal Caves Tour
This guided tour through the underground Crystal Caves showcases the stunning formations of stalactites and stalagmites. Crystal Cave also has a lake with crystal clear water up to 17 meters deep. Caves were first discovered in Bermuda during early colonization in the 1600s.
Blu
Blu Bar and Grill is located in the scenic beauty of the Belmont Hills Golf Course and offers stunning views of the Great Sound and Hamiton Harbor. Their cuisine is bold American with Italian and Asian influences.
Try to make a reservation so you can catch the glorious sunset while you dine on fresh and creative sushi and a fresh fish or steak main course. I hope you like wine because the wine list is extensive.
Warwick Long Bay Beach
Stretching for half a mile, you don’t want to miss the azure waters of Warwick Long Bay Beach. Stroll the pink sand beaches lined with jagged rocks framing the clear blue waters.
Bring your gear and enjoy snorkeling along the bay. You can plan to stay all day since they have bathrooms and a lunch cart.
Wahoo’s Bistro and Patio Restaurant
Wahoo’s Bistro and Patio Restaurant is located in the heart of the historic town of St. Georges. Chef Alfred creates dishes that highlight the fresh fish of the local waters.
They are famous for the locally caught Wahoo nuggets, rockfish Picasso, and their award-winning fish chowder. Be sure to visit during lobster season to get fresh Bermuda lobster. With its cozy atmosphere overlooking the moonlit harbor, it makes a special night out.
County Games Cricket Match
Watch top athletes battle it out in this historic County Games Cricket Match. Bermuda’s Eastern Counties Cup Association Annual Classic, also known as the County Game, has been around since 1904 and showcases the competitive spirit of the eastern parishes.

We Sailed The World’s Third Largest Cruise Line to See What It’s Like
More than 35 million travelers will cruise this year, and many of them are sailing with MSC Cruises around the world. Relatively new to the American vacationer, this family-owned line started offering U.S. cruises in 1998 but has become more popular in North America in the past couple of years.
So, this Spring Break, my daughter and I took a 3-night cruise from Cape Canaveral Florida to the Caribbean to see for ourselves why so many Americans are hitting the sea for vacation, and increasingly with MSC Cruises.
